About Us
Alka Hospital is running Alka Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in Hattiban, Lalitpur which is currently offering various health science programs with the objectives of producing qualified nurses and health care professionals.
After a comprehensive study, the management team of Alka Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) decided to establish the institution to be a “Center of Excellence” in the field of nursing education and is to address the national and ultimately the rural problem of the need of the skilled human resources, particularly in the areas of health, throughout human resource development program with the following specific objectives:
- To equip students with necessary skills and strong theoretical background necessary for an efficient nurse;
- To meet the demand of nursing manpower in the country as well as outside the country;
- To support the country’s human resource plan, especially in health;
- To make nursing education accessible;
From 2065 Alka Hospital established a nursing college named Alka Institute of Medical Sciences and began the nursing education in 2065 with CTEVT affiliated Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL). Currently, it offers Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) , PCL Nursing - CTEVT, PCL in General Medicine-Health Assistant (HA) under CTEVT and Post Basic Bachelor in Nursing (PBBN) under the affiliation of Purbanchal University.
