About Us

Yeditepe University, founded in 1996 by the Istanbul Foundation for Education and Culture (Request); In the light of Ataturkist ideas with its pioneering, distinguished, academic and management staffs in many fields in Turkey, it aims to educate young people who are contemporary, researchers, innovative, have all the qualities and equipment that the business world needs, who are familiar with technology, who know the world culture and who have strengthened their own self. Our university is training for the information age with its contemporary academic programs and applications.

Yeditepe University provides its academic activities with undergraduate and 4 associate degree programs in 13 Faculties, 2 Colleges and 1 Vocational School, including Dentistry, Pharmacy, Education, Science and Literature, Fine Arts, Law, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Architecture, Engineering, Health Sciences, Medicine and Commercial Sciences. In addition, he carries out his postgraduate education in 87 master's and 43 doctoral programs within the Ataturk Principles and History of Revolution, Educational Sciences, Science, Health Sciences and Social Sciences Institutes. Yeditepe University, whose language of instruction is English, has been preparing young people from all over Turkey for life in the August 26 settlement since its inception.

Yeditepe University; It teaches at the August 26 settlement, built with the equipment to meet the educational, cultural, art, sports and all needs of the students. August 26 Settlement; It is located in an area of 125 thousand square meters with its unique architecture at the foot of The Beltdagi on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, in a closed area of 223 thousand square meters. Inspired by Seljuk Architecture, the August 26 settlement has educational buildings, social facilities and open spaces, as well as two separate student hotels with a total capacity of 3,270 students surrounding these buildings.

Green Metric,which is an international platform for sustainability and environmental awareness and determines the greenest universities in the world, ranks first among the foundation universities in Turkey in the 2017 and 2018 evaluations, and our University is the only university in Turkey that can produce its own energy with the rooftop solar energy system it has established on campus. The system, which has the largest roof application feature in Istanbul, has a capacity of 1 MW and huawei interverter was used with 3850 Axitec panels at the plant. At the same time, the work of a 350 KW wind energy investment in the university's field in Şile has started. Work is underway to complete the solar panels to 10 MW.

Inside the buildings on our campus, large doors with a height of up to 22 meters are entered. Our university has modern architectural features that are transferred from typical Seljuk Architecture to the present day with its abundant illuminated courtyards. The exterior of the buildings, which combine both Seljuk architecture and modern architecture, is covered with natural stones brought from Anatolia. In order to keep warm in the cool winter in summer, polyuretranants were used as the building facades and as heat panels.
