The University of Port-au-Prince (UP), formerly the Institute of Management and Accounting (IGC) , is entering its 38 th year of existence. The creation of the UP is a concerted action by a team of academics, professors and researchers who have been willing to put their know-how and knowledge at the service of the community and the country.
The UP is therefore a private Haitian university education institution accredited by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training . This Ministry ensures the authentication of diplomas and licenses issued by the UP.
This private institution of Higher Education which trained young people only in the field of Administration and Accounting has experienced over the years a spectacular expansion and, depending on the needs of the labor market, has created new ones. courses and adapted its teaching. Thus, two disciplines taught in 1983 - management and accounting - it has grown to six (6) faculties and intends to increase its academic courses while strengthening its administrative structures.
