About Us

Eskisehir Osmangazi University was founded on August 18, 1993 by Decree No. 496; Engineering-Architecture, Faculties of Medicine and Science and Science and University Hospital left Anadolu University and connected to Osmangazi University. Eskisehir School of Health and Vocational School of Health Services, Institutes of Science, Health Sciences, Educational Sciences and Social Sciences and the newly opened Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences have been reconstructed as Osmangazi University. Osmangazi University was renamed "Eskisehir Osmangazi University" on July 1, 2005 with the Law No. 5379.

Despite being legally established in 1993, the Senate Decision and the '1970' year, which is the founding date of Eskisehir State Engineering Architecture Academy (EDMMA), are used as the 'year of establishment'. In 1994, Sivrihisar Vocational School, Faculty of Agriculture and Theology were established in 1995 and Faculty of Education was established in 1998, and in 2008 it was added to our Faculty of Dentistry and State Conservatory units. Mahmudiye Horsemanship Vocational School started education in 2007-2008 academic year and the Faculty of Art and Design was established in 2009. Faculty of Health Sciences started recruiting students in the 2016-2017 academic year. Finally, the Faculty of Tourism was established in 2013 and the Faculty of Law was established in 2018 and added to our university, which has been growing and developing rapidly from the past to the present.

The total campus area of Eskisehir Osmangazi University is 2,880,830 m2 and 80,000 m2 of this area is used as classroom-laboratory-office, 50,000 m2 as social facility-library and 62,000 m2 as health area. Oaklik, Bademlik, Çamlik, Ali Numan Kıraç, Sivrihisar, Sarıcakaya, Mahmudiye, Doubles and Organized Industrial Zone Campuses continue their education, R&D and health service activities. Eskisehir Osmangazi University, which is a long-established and powerful university with 50 years of scientific background, continues to produce information with 12 Faculties, 2 Colleges, 5 Vocational Schools, 4 Institutes and 35 Application and Research Centers, and proceeds with decisive steps towards contemporary science.
